Stuffed Giant Teddy Bear Gift

On the Valentine’s Day of my senior year of high school I had been dating my boyfriend of the time for over a year. I expected to receive a necklace or a pair of earrings and a nice meal out to eat. However, when I got to school I was pleasantly surprised. I opened my locker and stuffed inside was an almost life-sized giant teddy bear. Excited, but a little embarrassed as my peers watched me, I pulled the bear out of my locker. Before I got the bulk of it out I realized something was up, it was much, much heavier than a normal stuffed animal. I thought maybe one of my books was caught and was weighing it down, but when I pulled it all the way out I realized it was almost too heavy to lift and it’s stomach was in a non-teddy bear shape.

Realizing it must have something inside it, I looked around for an opening. There was a small slice in the back of him, so I reached my hand inside and started pulling things out: candy, a card, a pair of earrings, and several other small gifts. Embarrassment turned to pride as all of the girls in the hallway watched me open my presents one by one. I realized how lucky I was and how much work my boyfriend had put into this gift. It was one of the best Valentine’s Day’s I have had and I will remember it forever.
